Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

The short version: Taculator 84 works without an account. Your calculations happen on your device and stay there — we never see them. The app uses Google Firebase for anonymous usage statistics and remote configuration, and purchases are processed entirely by Apple or Google. Our website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If a school requests free access, we process the organization's contact details for exactly that purpose. That's essentially it — the details follow.

Who we are

The apps Taculator 84 and Graphing Calculator Pro⁸⁴ and the website taculator.com are operated by:

Di Venisco UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Achamstraße 10
73235 Weilheim, Germany
Email: contact@taculator.com

We are the data controller for the processing described in this policy.

What the app processes

Your math stays on your device

Taculator 84 requires no account and no sign-in. Everything you type — equations, graphs, lists, matrices — is processed and stored locally on your device. We have no access to it, and it is never uploaded to us.

Usage statistics and remote configuration (Firebase)

The app uses Google Firebase to collect aggregated usage and diagnostic data (for example: app version, device model, operating system, crash reports, which features are used) and to deliver remote configuration. This helps us find bugs and decide what to improve. This data does not include your calculations. Google acts as our processor; see Google's privacy policy.

Advertising attribution (Meta SDK)

The iOS app includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK for measuring the effectiveness of our app-install campaigns (attribution). On iOS, any cross-app tracking only happens if you explicitly allow it via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, no tracking identifier is shared. See Meta's privacy policy.

Purchases

All purchases (Taculator Pro as a one-time purchase or subscription) are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive confirmation that a purchase or subscription is active, but never your name, address, or payment details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store / Google Play account settings.

What the website processes

No cookies; cookieless visit statistics

taculator.com sets no cookies. To understand which pages and referral sources are useful, we use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service that counts visits in aggregate (pages viewed, referring site, campaign parameters, country, browser and device type) without cookies, without fingerprinting profiles, and without cross-site tracking. This data cannot be used to identify you. Umami Software, Inc. acts as our processor; see Umami's privacy policy.

Hosting logs

The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). Like any web server, Netlify processes technical connection data (IP address, browser type, requested pages) in server logs to deliver the site and defend against abuse. Netlify acts as our processor; see Netlify's privacy policy.

School access form

If your institution requests free access to Taculator 84 EDU, we process the data you submit — your name, organization name, Apple Organization ID, and your work email — solely to add your institution to our Apple Custom Apps distribution list and to correspond with you about it. The submission also records how you found the form (campaign parameters in the link you clicked, and the referring page), so we know which of our outreach works; this uses no cookies and no browser storage. Submissions are received via Netlify Forms and by email. We keep this data for as long as your institution uses Taculator 84 EDU, and delete it on request.

Schools, students, and children

Taculator 84 EDU is designed so that no student data reaches us: the app requires no accounts, no sign-in, and works fully offline. The EDU build contains no analytics and no advertising SDKs at all — the Firebase and Meta components described above are not part of the school edition, which collects no data whatsoever. Deployment happens through your institution's Apple School Manager and MDM — we only process the institutional contact data described above, never student records. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children; it can be used without providing any personal information at all. If your district requires a signed data-privacy agreement, contact us.

Legal bases (GDPR)

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process data on these bases: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) — delivering the app, purchases, EDU access you requested); legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) — aggregated usage statistics, crash diagnostics, server logs, abuse prevention); and consent (Art. 6(1)(a) — advertising attribution via App Tracking Transparency, which you can decline or withdraw at any time in iOS Settings).

Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the processors named above (Apple, Google/Firebase, Meta, Netlify) as needed to run the app and website. Some of these providers process data in the United States; transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses.

Retention

Usage statistics are retained in aggregated form. Server logs are retained briefly by our hosting provider. EDU contact data is kept while your institution participates in the program. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request and any legal retention duties.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. EU/EEA residents can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA — and we do not sell or "share" personal information as defined there. To exercise any right, email contact@taculator.com.

Changes to this policy

We'll post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. For significant changes we'll add a notice in the app or on the site.
